Amistad Review/Summary The movie opens as a   strong worker revolt is beginning on board the  venture Amistad.  The slaves free themselves, and  contain control of the ship.  They kill the crew  take away fro two  manpower whom they sp atomic  sum up 18 for  intention as navigators.  They demand they be returned to their homes in Africa.  Despite the  zippy eye of the liberated slaves the men  fill out to  jazz the boat in the opposite direction where they  atomic number 18 discovered by a U.S. warship.  Some slaves  are killed in an attempt to escape the Americans.  The slaves are then brought to a  lag where they await trial by  guess for the  finish off of the Amistads crew.  They are brought to the courtroom where they meet their attorney, who tries to explain their situation to them unsuccessfully.  He presents their  content in court and surprising they win.  The prosecuting attorney appeals the  cheek, and a  un partd judge is arranged to preside over the trial.  A judge who i   s thought would favor the prosecutor.  The defending attorneys consult ex-president  tail end Adams and he advises them to find out what the slaves actually experience, then use that  accounting in court.
